About

Sawyer Pangborn, the creative soul behind Anesti Creative is a student studying Mass Communication and Computer Science at the University of Utah. Having worked with computers since an early age and having been brought up with two programmers in his immediate family, Sawyer has a diverse and expansive technology skill set. While most designers are right-brained and programmers are left-brained, Sawyer has the unique ability to understand both design and logic, making him an invaluable asset to bridge the communication gap that commonly exists between designers and programmers. Sawyer maintains a blog at anesti.org, and can be more often found tweeting. Sawyer’s award-winning photography has been published in Snapixel Magazine.
What does “anesti” mean?

“Anesti” is a transliterated Greek word meaning “Risen.” The name came from the phrase Greek Orthodox Christians often say around Easter – “Χριστός ἀνέστη!” (Christos Anesti! – Christ is Risen!) and the normal response “Ἀληθῶς ἀνέστη!” (Alithos Anesti – Truly He is Risen).
